What is Facilitation?

As a facilitator of Psychological Skills, I help individuals have a focused and meaningful discussion of practice during a structured session. I listen without judgement and allow all individuals to have input into the process. Facilitation is about putting education to work and practicing the skills learned to have an intentional mindset.

My Facilitation Practice

As a facilitator of Psychological Skills, I help individuals have a focused and meaningful discussion of practice during a structured session.  Check in

The first step is to check in and make sure everyone is comfortable and open. Discussing bias, story, expectations and perceptions is key to clearing the air to be able to practice any new psychological skill.

Inspire & Practice

The second step is to inspire the groups or individual to address, overcome, or embrace whatever fear may be holding and creating psychological blocks.  A practice session takes place that requires listening, openness, curiosity and ultimately vulnerability and courage.

Discuss & Develop

Discussing the emotions, reactions, and all the human aspects of conversation, we go through a process of awareness that brings all that to the forefront so understanding can be developed.

Reflect

During the reflection stage, awareness is heightened, openness and curiosity practices are instilled and from there an individual assess the best move forward.  This is where strengths, identity, story, purpose, and values all connect with the inner voice to identify decisions and actions.
